Rebuilding how India prepares for its toughest exams
Topperify AI is building an AI-native exam intelligence platform for UPSC and NEET aspirants — India's most competitive examinations, where selection rates sit below 0.1%. We are not adding AI on top of old content. We are architecting the intelligence layer from the ground up: adaptive test engines, handwritten answer evaluation using LLMs, and predictive analytics that tell aspirants exactly where they stand.
The Opportunity
Work at the frontier of applied AI
You will embed directly with our founding engineering team. The problems you solve here — RAG pipelines for exam-grounded tutors, OCR and LLM-based answer evaluation, adaptive difficulty engines — are not solved problems. You will be figuring things out at the edge of what's possible with AI today.
This is not a shadow role. You will have ownership, context, and direct access to the people building the product.

What We're Looking For
We care more about how you think than what you've done
- Strong fundamentals in Python, JavaScript, or any language you know well
- Solid understanding of how web applications work — APIs, frontend, backend, databases
- Comfort with Git and version-controlled development workflows
- Curiosity about LLMs, generative AI, and where the field is heading — genuine curiosity counts as much as prior exposure
- Ability to read documentation independently, get unstuck, and ask sharp questions
- Exposure to AI/ML through coursework, self-study, or personal projects is a strong plus
- Clear written communication in English for async collaboration
